AllCloud Blog:
Cloud Insights and Innovation

We’re living in the era of “new normal”, so this year’s AWS Summit EMEA is moving online. But there’s no stopping AWS from creating a world-leading, not-to-be-missed event. With their usual flair for innovation, the AWS Summit Online EMEA is a busy two-day event packed with inspiring content, industry-leading keynotes, hands-on technical sessions and demos. Wherever you fit in the cloud computing industry – from newbie to expert, IT technologist to CEO – there is a place for you at the AWS Summit, and with 8 official languages, they definitely speak your language.

Let’s take a quick look at what to expect and what’s on the agenda. Of course, AllCloud will be there too, and we’d love to welcome you to our virtual booth.

What’s new?

The 2021 summit event is smartly and conveniently divided into two tracks: Builders’ Day and Innovation Day.

The Builders’ Day Agenda on June 9th is targeted at technologists of all levels. There are 55 breakout sessions across 9 tracks and 4 expertise levels: 100 (Foundational), 200 (Intermediate), 300 (Advanced) and 400 (Expert). Whether new to the cloud or an experienced user, attendees can choose the best track according to job role, with in-depth technical demos and innovation-focused sessions on what’s new in cloud computing and the latest AWS products and services.

The Innovation Day Agenda on June 10th is aimed at leaders in business and technology, who are looking for guidance and inspiration to innovate and accelerate growth, solve real customer problems, and use cloud technology to build resilient future-proof organizations. From CEOs to CTOs, startup founders to data scientists, this track is for anyone who wants to “Rethink Possible.”

What’s hot

One of the most important lessons learned by organizations in recent years is the need for continuous innovation to meet rapidly changing demands, face off crises and challenges, and maintain the growth necessary for competition. At the AWS Summit, the agenda covers this and many more trending topics in the industry:

Enterprise transformation: There’s a heavy focus this year on the ways that enterprises can undergo transformation to become more results-oriented while enhancing cost efficiency, security and governance. Establishing a solid and well thought out foundation for cloud migration and modernization is key to enterprise transformation, one way organizations can achieve this is by leveraging a Landing Zone as seen in the SentinelOne customer story, a cybersecurity company that partnered with AllCloud to harden and enforce security and compliance across a new multi-account AWS organization. We’ll look at this success story (and others) in depth at the summit, so make sure to visit the AllCloud booth for more.

SaaSification: Software companies worldwide are “SaaSifying” or migrating their software to the cloud, in order to offer their customers a secure, efficient, resilient cloud-based solution atop AWS. Discover more about this latest trend at the summit, and while you’re at it, explore AllCloud’s SaaSication success for client BMC Software. In this customer story, read about how AllCloud used the AWS SaaS Factory Program to create a SaaS solution for BMC’s popular Control M application workflow orchestration tool.

Innovation in manufacturing: With the rise of Industry 4.0 and smart factories, more manufacturers seek to benefit from the agility and innovation afforded by cloud technology. The role of AWS in the manufacturing industry is going to be a strong focus at this year’s summit and beyond. Get up to speed with how the cloud is driving change here.

Innovation in the public sector: What breeds innovation – culture or technology? As the public sector looks for ways to ramp up efficiency, develop smarter operations, and become more future-focused, the capabilities of AWS technology to transform the underlying business culture is a fascinating topic to be explored more.

Failing in order to win: There is no success without failure, and that is even more true for startups. The AWS ecosystem and culture support the agility necessary for startups to move quickly, fail fast, bounce back, innovate more, and win big. Find out what’s new and trending in AWS for startups at this year’s online summit.
