While Dreamforce to You 2020 was totally reimagined and virtual, Salesforce still delivered a jam packed session schedule that allowed us all to think through our organization’s future as we embrace the all-new digital world.
One of my favorite sessions was Shopping at the Edge: Meeting Consumers Anywhere, focused on the disruption the industry faces in light of the 2020 pandemic. It spoke to how the pandemic has rapidly changed some of the most cutting edge technology and trends that are taking shape in the retail and consumer industry today.
As Salesforce presented some of the latest innovations accommodating this new normal, it’s important to simultaneously understand some of the current trends that are shaping it. Once we understand and focus on digital as the new battleground for retailers and brand owners to win market share in their industry, we also need to look at how they can proactively grab customer attention and push their brand presence to what Salesforce calls “the edge.”
